Marian Emily was the daughter of Henry Trail Simpson , who had been born in Calcutta 1806. HENRY TRAIL SIMPSON was the son of George Augustus Simpson and Dorothea Simpson (nee Bateman). George Augustus Simpson had died in Calcutta in 1881 and his widow returned to England with her three very young children, one of whom was Henry Trail Simpson ( b.1806) Henry Trail was sent to Eton and then Cambridge university and became a priest. Was a priest at Marnhull and later in the village of Adel near Leeds. Annie Knox Campbell Murray was wife of Rev Henry Trail Simpson and they had about 7 children.
Henry Trail Simpson was Rector of St Gregory’s 1843-1858.
All the records I’ve seen show him as born in 1804 and baptised / christened in 1805.
